What’s all the buzz about!? Our food is dependent upon pollination, come see up-close how and who makes it happen!
Ohio Science Standards:
- 5.LS.1 Organisms perform a variety of roles in an ecosystem.
NGSS Standards:
- 5-PS3-1. Use models to describe that energy in animals’ food (used for body repair, growth, motion, and to maintain body warmth) was once energy from the sun.
- 5-LS2-1. Develop a model to describe the movement of matter among plants, animals, decomposers, and the environment.
Ohio Social Studies Standards:
- History- Heritage: European exploration and colonization during the 1400s 1600s had lasting effects which can be used to understand the Western Hemisphere today.
- Geography – Human Systems: The variety of physical environments within the Western Hemisphere influences human activities. Likewise, human activities modify the physical environments.
- Economics – Production and Consumption: The availability of productive resources and the division of labor can have a positive or negative impact on productive capacity.
