Join the Greenacres education and research teams on a hike through the prairie ecosystem at Lewis Township. We will explore the plant and animal species living in this area and discuss the prairie establishment process.
Please dress for the weather including sunscreen, hat, and bug spray if desired. This event will be held rain or shine unless the weather is dangerous.
General Information
- Register in advance (space is limited)
- Adult tickets are available, and tickets for children (ages 7-17) are only available for purchase with a participating adult
- $1 per person
- Please dress appropriately for the weather and prepare for uneven terrain
- Please bring a personal water bottle (filled)
- Closed-toed shoes are required; please wear shoes that can get wet and/or dirty and are comfortable for hiking
- No strollers permitted
- No pets may be brought to Greenacres
- Greenacres Foundation is privately operating; all guests on the property must be accompanied by a Greenacres representative at all times
