Join the Greenacres Land Management and Research teams for a guided hike through the forest trails of the Greenacres Lewis Township campus. This immersive experience will introduce participants to common invasive plant species found in local woodlands, alongside key native plants that support a healthy ecosystem.
Along the trail, participants will explore both invasive and native plant communities while visiting active ecological restoration sites. The team will also share practical management approaches used at Greenacres and discuss how these methods support long-term habitat health.

By the end of the hike, participants will have a stronger ability to identify invasive plants on their own property, a clearer understanding of control strategies, and a deeper appreciation for the native species that sustain healthy woodlands.
This event is intended for guests ages 16+.
Tickets must be purchased in advance, and due to limited capacity, walk-ins will not be accepted. Exchanges and ticket transfers will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
If weather conditions are unsafe or too extreme, the event may be canceled or rescheduled. Guests who opt in to receive SMS updates at checkout will be notified of any weather-related changes by text.
