Family Discovery Time: Pasture to Product

Come discover the journey of food from our gardens and pastures to the products found in our Farm Market!

Explore how vegetables grow, learn about the animals that help nourish our community, and discover the many steps it takes to transform what is raised on the land into the products we enjoy. Through hands-on games, activities, and exploration of the Farm Market, families will uncover the story behind the food grown at Greenacres.

Family Discovery Time is a child-focused educational program on a selected topic for children and their families. Literacy and hands-on experiences will be combined to cultivate curiosity and discovery on the farm. Please dress to be out on the farm in our pastures, gardens, and natural areas. We may encounter mud and evidence of our livestock.

Please note, the activities are targeted for children ages 5 and up. Younger siblings should be able to enjoy the experience with more adult help.

    • Children (ages 5–17) must be accompanied by a registered adult
    • No strollers permitted due to trail conditions
    • No pets are allowed (ADA Certified Service Animals only)
