Experience the historic Aeolian Pipe Organ, installed at the Greenacres Arts Center in 1926, in an evening of celebrated music from the opera. Dr. Christopher Holman will perform organ transcriptions of iconic overtures by Mozart, Verdi, Bizet, and others. He will be joined by acclaimed American soprano Cynthia Holman, known for her powerful, expressive voice and artistic versatility. Together, they will present Wagner’s Ride of the Valkyries, selections from Puccini’s Tosca, and additional audience favorites.

Christopher Holman is an internationally recognized organist, conductor, and chamber musician whose performance career spans more than a dozen countries. He has appeared in renowned cathedrals, concert halls, and major festivals worldwide. A noted scholar of early recording technology and historical instruments such as the Aeolian organ at Greenacres, he holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Music from the University of Oxford. He currently serves as Director of Music and Assistant Professor at Mount St. Mary’s Seminary and School of Theology (the Athenaeum) in Cincinnati.
Cynthia Holman is an internationally acclaimed operatic soprano whose career includes performances with leading opera companies, orchestras, and chamber ensembles across Europe and the United States. Known for her expressive artistry and stylistic range, she is equally at home in opera, oratorio, and art song. Her innovative programming and performances are regularly featured at major festivals and concert series around the world.

General Admission tickets cost $25. Child/Student tickets cost $15. This event is recommended for guests ages 8 and older.
All seating is general admission.
Guests are encouraged to dress comfortably. If you prefer to wear a sport coat or a dress, you are welcome to do so. If jeans are more your style, that’s acceptable as well! Come ready to enjoy the evening.
Please note that no outside food or drink will be permitted at this event. Tickets must be purchased online and due to limited capacity, walk-ins will not be accepted. Refunds, exchanges, and ticket transfers will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
