Greenacres Artist Weekend
The Greenacres Artist Weekend is an annual three-day event where artists can create, collaborate, and generate new ideas in the fairytale-like setting of the Greenacres Arts Center. This year, Greenacres is thrilled to welcome a new cohort of 25 Cincinnati-area artists (ages 18+) for a weekend filled with arts engagement, networking, and retreat. Nestled among historic architecture, forests, and farmland, Greenacres offers an idyllic sanctuary that is sure to inspire creativity. This opportunity allows artists to step away from their daily routines and reconnect with their creative selves, fellow artists, and their surroundings.

How to Apply
The 2025 Greenacres Artist Weekend application requires two elements:

- Examples of your work (required)
- Please submit 2-5 examples of your artworks, recordings, or written works as part of your portfolio. A link to an online portfolio or website is also acceptable. All images must be clear and viewable on a full-sized computer screen.

Participants must be available for all sessions of the Greenacres Artist Weekend. The schedule is as follows:

- Friday, November 7th, 2025: 6:00 pm – 8:30 pm: Welcome dinner and tour at Greenacres Arts Center
- Saturday, November 8th, 2025: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm: Day 1
- Sunday, November 9th, 2025: 8:00 am – 4:00 pm: Day 2
- Saturday, February 7th, 2026: 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm: Exhibition Opening Reception

Eligibility
Eligible participants are 18 years of age or older and reside in the Greater Cincinnati Metropolitan Area, which includes the following counties:

- In Ohio: Brown, Butler, Clermont, Hamilton, and Warren Counties
- In Kentucky: Boone, Bracken, Campbell, Gallatin, Grant, Kenton, and Pendleton Counties
- In Indiana: Dearborn, Ohio, Ripley, Decatur, and Union Counties

FAQ
Does it cost money to apply to the Artist Weekend?
There is no cost to apply, but a small fee is required for attendance. Once accepted, the cost to participate in the three-day weekend and featured exhibition is $75 for students and $125 for general participants. Payment is due after acceptance to the event.
When does the application close?
The online application for the Greenacres Artist Weekend will close on September 7th, 2025.
I have previously attended the Artist Weekend. Am I eligible to apply again?
Yes! However, all applications are considered equally, and acceptance to prior Artist Weekends does not guarantee acceptance to future ones.
When will I know if I am accepted into this year’s Artist Weekend cohort?
Applicants will be notified of their application status on or before September 30th, 2025.
Does the Greenacres Artist Weekend provide food?
Yes! Greenacres will provide meals and refreshments, including a welcome dinner on Friday, November 7th, and breakfast and lunch on Saturday, November 8th, and Sunday, November 9th.
Does Greenacres provide evening accommodations?
No. This event occurs over three days, and participants are responsible for their own evening accommodations and transportation.
