Family Discovery Time: Jobs on the Farm

Join us to learn more about Jobs on the Farm! Have you ever wondered what it’s like to be a farmer? Discover what it takes to keep our farm running smoothly at Family Discovery Time: Jobs on the Farm. From collecting eggs to tending to our pastures, there is always something to do on the farm! 

Children’s Discovery Time is a child-focused educational program on a selected topic for children and their families to experience Greenacres Farm at Nippert Barn. Literacy and hands-on experiences will be combined to cultivate curiosity and discovery on the farm. Please dress to be out on the farm in our pastures, gardens, and natural areas. We may encounter mud and evidence of our livestock. 

Please note, the activities are targeted for 5 years old and up. Younger siblings should be able to enjoy the experience with more adult help. 

General Information

• • • Register in advance as space is limited
    • Adult tickets are available and tickets for children (ages 5-17) are only available for purchase with a participating adult
    • Closed-toed shoes are required; please wear shoes that can get dirty and are comfortable for hiking
    • No strollers permitted
    • No pets may be brought to Greenacres
    • Greenacres Foundation is privately operating; all guests on property must be accompanied by a Greenacres representative at all times.
    • Greenacres Farm Market is open to the public, located at 8300 Spooky Hollow Road 45242.
