Family Discovery Time: Market Magic

Follow food from our gardens and pastures to our market to see magic take place, a transformation from pasture to product! Every vegetable has a story, and every animal has an adventure. Families will learn about the food we grow at Greenacres and engage in hands-on games and exploration of our market and the products we sell.

Family Discovery Time is a one-hour child-focused educational program on a selected topic for children and their families to experience Greenacres Farm at Nippert Barn. Literacy and hands-on experiences will be combined to cultivate curiosity and discovery on the farm. Please dress to be out on the farm in our pastures, gardens, and natural areas. We may encounter mud and evidence of our livestock.

Please note, the activities are targeted for 5 years old and up. Younger siblings should be able to enjoy the experience with more adult help.

    • Register in advance as space is limited
    • Adult tickets are available and tickets for children (ages 5-17) are only available for purchase with a participating adult
    • Closed-toed shoes are required; please wear shoes that can get dirty and are comfortable for hiking
    • No strollers permitted
    • No pets may be brought to Greenacres
    • Greenacres Foundation is privately operating; all guests on property must be accompanied by a Greenacres representative at all times.
