Greenacres offers hands-on, inquiry-based programs tailored for homeschool groups across multiple locations. Whether you’re looking for nature exploration, agriculture-based learning, arts experiences, or equine opportunities, our educators provide meaningful programming for students ages 5–18. Programs are multi-age friendly, free, and available at all our campuses: Lewis Township, Michaela Farm, and Cincinnati. We also offer Family Days – programs available for single-family homeschoolers who want to participate without assembling a group.

Nestled within 600 acres inside the 275 loop on the edge of Cincinnati, Greenacres offers an exceptional field trip experience for homeschool groups and co-ops. Across seven unique education sites, students engage in hands-on learning in agriculture, the environment, equine studies, fine arts, and math. These immersive programs are designed to enrich home-based education through meaningful, real-world experiences.

Lewis Township
Brown County, Ohio
Lewis Township is an ideal destination for homeschool groups in Brown, Adams, Clermont, and Highland counties. This campus offers immersive environmental and arts-based learning set among woodlands, meadows, waterways, and creative spaces.

Michaela Farm
Oldenburg, Indiana
Since becoming a Greenacres campus in 2021, Michaela Farm has continued the legacy of agriculture, community, and environmental stewardship established by the Sisters of Saint Francis. With a new educational facility and diverse outdoor learning areas, this campus offers immersive, farm-focused experiences for homeschool families in Indiana and the surrounding region.

Family Days
Family Days are perfect for homeschool families who would like to visit Greenacres without organizing a full group. These programs allow individual families to participate in themed educational experiences at select campuses throughout the year. Events are age-targeted, hands-on, and designed to be an accessible entry point for new homeschool visitors.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the cost?
Field trips for grades K–12 are free for all participating homeschool groups.
What ages can participate?
Programs are designed for ages 5/Kindergarten through 12th grade. We do not offer field trips for Pre-K and younger at this time. All equine programs require participants to be age 8 or older.
Do all parents need to attend?
One adult per ten students is required. Adults and younger siblings who choose to remain onsite must stay with the group at all times.
How long can a field trip be?
Field trips may be up to four hours.
What group size is required?
A minimum of 15 and maximum of 30 total participants (including adults and siblings). Groups exceeding 30 may split into two visits. Minimum of 3 families to run a program.
Do we need to fill out forms?
Yes. A roster/waiver form is required for all participants and will be shared ahead of your visit.
What if we are a single-family homeschool?
Family Days are designed specifically for individual families who are not part of a co-op or group.
Field Trip Registration
Booking a homeschool field trip is simple:

Review the programs offered at that site.

Assemble a group of 15–30 participants (minimum of 3 families).
