Whether you’re a first-time guest or a returning visitor\, there’s always something new to discover in the fields. \nThis Garden Tour will feature:\n\n\n\n\n\nTools & Equipment in Action – From hand tools to harvesting gear and a live demonstration of our two-wheel tractor\, see how we keep our gardens efficient and productive.\nGrowing Smarter – Discover how row covers\, insect netting\, and other natural methods help us prevent pests and extend our growing season.\nHigh Tunnel Production – Step inside our high tunnels to learn why we use them\, how we manage them\, and the advantages and challenges they bring.\nApprentice Production Plots – Meet our second-year farm apprentices and hear their stories of planning\, planting\, and harvesting their very own production spaces.\nThe Power of Compost – Visit our compost pile in Ley Field to explore the process\, what goes into it\, and how it nurtures healthy soil and thriving crops.\n\n\n\n\n\nWhether you’re curious about sustainable farming practices or just looking for an inspiring day in the garden\, this tour offers something for everyone. \nAbout the Event\n\n\n\n\n\nThis event is a walking (1+ mile) tour taking place on our South Farm\, near the Greenacres Arts Center in Indian Hill\, not at the Greenacres Farm Market. Please be prepared for uneven terrain\, some short hikes\, and standing. Strollers are not recommended. Young children are welcome\, but please keep in mind this event occurs outdoors and away from our restroom facilities. This event will be conducted rain or shine\, except in the case of dangerous weather. Please dress appropriately for the conditions with closed toed shoes. \nTickets\nTickets are $1 per person. Tickets must be purchased online\, due to limited capacity walk ins will not be accepted at this time. Please note that there are no refunds or exchanges available. \nQuestions?\nIf you have any questions\, please call Greenacres at (513) 891-4227 ext. 3 or email events@green-acres.org. \nNo pets are allowed (ADA Certified Service Animals only). You’ll learn how honey bees contribute to pollination\, biodiversity\, and healthy ecosystems\, as well as how we incorporate beekeeping into hands-on lessons for students.
