This program is designed for equestrians that manage any number of horses; from a personal horse in your own backyard to managing full stables and equine facilities.  \nLearn from experienced practitioners through a combination of classroom instruction and an interactive pasture walk. Topics will include grazing practices\, pasture management\, proactive manure management options\, stocking rates\, and sacrifice lots. \nDuring the pasture walk\, attendees will observe: rotational grazing methods\, pasture and soil quality\, and discuss practical strategies for implementation in equine pastures. \nThis workshop is geared toward adults\, though young adults and older teens may attend.\n \nSpeakers\nJT Benitez\, OSU Extension\, Butler County \nNicole Gunderman\, Hamilton County Soil & Water \nMicalene Villamagna\, Greenacres Stable Supervisor \nLeah Bartel\, Greenacres Livestock Field Coordinator \nWhat to Expect\nPlease be prepared for uneven terrain\, short walks\, and periods of standing.
