Did you know you can contribute to real atmospheric science while doing it? \nJoin us to learn about community science and how everyday observations can support real research. During this program\, we will explore the GLOBE Observer: Clouds project\, practice observing and identifying clouds outdoors\, and learn how to record observations using a NASA-supported app. Participants will also create a simple cloud-viewing window craft to take home and continue their observations. \nThis event is best suited for adult community members and families with children in 3rd grade and above (ages 8+). \nWhat is GLOBE Observer?\nGLOBE Observer: Clouds is a mobile app sponsored by NASA that allows participants to document the clouds they see in the sky. \nSatellites orbiting Earth collect cloud data from above. When scientists combine that information with ground observations submitted by community scientists\, they gain a more complete understanding of cloud patterns and atmospheric conditions around the world. \nYour observations help support real scientific research. \nGeneral Information\n\n\n\n\n\nCost: $1 per person\nAdvance registration is required. Space is limited\nAdult tickets are available and tickets for children (ages 8-17) are only available for purchase with a participating adult\nClosed-toed shoes are required; please wear shoes that can get wet and dirty and are comfortable for hiking\nBring a filled water bottle if desired\nNo strollers permitted\nNo pets allowed (ADA-certified service animals only)\nGreenacres Foundation is privately operating; all guests on property must be accompanied by a Greenacres representative at all times.\nGreenacres Farm Market is open to the public\, located at 8300 Spooky Hollow Road 45242.\n\nVisit our Farm Market web page for market hours and more information: https://green-acres.org/farm-market-product-availability/\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nQuestions?\nFor questions about this event\, please email Greenacres Education Team at education@green-acres.org or call at 513-715-0482. \nNo pets are allowed (ADA Certified Service Animals only).[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][/vc_section]
