Invasive plants can threaten biodiversity\, disrupt ecosystems\, and diminish the beauty of natural landscapes. Understanding how to properly manage these plants is a critical step in protecting the health of our local environment. This series will provide participants with knowledge and hands-on experience to identify\, control\, and restore areas affected by invasive species. Participants will gain valuable insights into the ecological impact of invasive species and learn how small\, consistent efforts can make a big difference in restoring native habitats. \nEach session will combine classroom learning with guided field hikes\, offering participants hands-on experience identifying\, controlling\, and restoring areas impacted by invasive species. Greenacres Land Management and Research staff\, along with the Trees & Trails Foundation\, will guide attendees through the process of invasive plant management\, providing practical tools and strategies to apply on their own properties. \nThis series is for adults aged 18 and older and will take place rain or shine. \nTime: 5:00 PM – 6:30 PM \nLocation: Spooky Hollow Farm – 8500 Spooky Hollow Rd\, Cincinnati\, OH 45242 \nCost: Tickets are $5 per session and include light snacks and refreshments. \nWhen purchasing tickets\, select a ticket for every session you would like to attend and then proceed to checkout. You must purchase a ticket for each session individually—buying a ticket for one session does not grant access to another session. \n\n\nWorkshop Sessions\nSession 1 – Invasive Plant Identification\nWednesday\, April 23\nLearn to identify common invasive plants found throughout Indian Hill and southwestern Ohio. This session will provide an overview of how Greenacres manages natural areas to promote plant and wildlife diversity\, with insights into the efforts of Trees & Trails within the community. A guided hike will give participants the chance to practice identification in the field. \nSession 2 – Invasive Plant Control\nWednesday\, July 30\nDiscover integrated pest management strategies and the tools available for controlling invasive plants. This session will cover specific management techniques for the most common invasive plants in the area. Participants will review identification skills and observe areas where invasive plant control efforts have been implemented. \nView Event\nSession 3 – Monitoring and Restoration\nWednesday\, September 17\nExplore goal setting and monitoring techniques for restoration projects. Learn how to increase native plant diversity on your property and maintain restored areas. Participants will visit an active restoration site\, remove invasive plants\, and help maintain the area through hands-on activities. \nView Event\n  \nSpots are limited—reserve your place in this informative and interactive workshop series today! \nAbout Trees & Trails Foundation\nThe Trees & Trails Foundation is a nonprofit organization committed to preserving and enhancing the Green Areas and Bridle Trails of Indian Hill\, Ohio. DESCRIPTION:[vc_section][vc_row gap=”35″][vc_column width=”2/3″ el_class=”event-content-column” el_id=”sat-event-column”][vc_single_image image=”23452″ img_size=”full” css=””][vc_column_text css=””]Join us for a celebration of Greenacres’ fall harvest with a four-course dinner featuring the season’s best flavors\, from our pasture-raised meats to freshly picked produce. Each dish showcases the richness of our land\, brought to life by chef John Adams of CookinGenie. Throughout the evening\, our livestock team will share insights into our sustainable farming practices and how we care for the animals that make these meals possible. To complement the experience\, a selection of wines curated by Pere Stojanovski of Fine Wine O’Clock will be served. We recommend dressing in elevated country western attire to add a fun twist to this unforgettable evening. We look forward to sharing the tastes and stories of Greenacres with you.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=””]About CookinGenie \nCookinGenie was created from casual conversations among families and friends around food. We realized how many of us found it difficult to plan and put fresh healthy meals on the dinner table every week. Juggling between busy schedules and cooking at home\, healthy and well prepared meals became a struggle. \nSo\, we thought we should do something about it. \nCookinGenie exists to make it easy and cost-effective to get great quality meals made in your home by using simple tech and local talent. Simply book your chef on our platform and they will shop\, cook and clean up. It really is that easy. Our genies are the perfect asset to your dinner parties\, milestone celebrations or even meal prep for those nights when you just can’t. Imagine being able to be a guest in your own home instead of being stuck in the kitchen. \nWe don’t think it’s revolutionary\, we just think it’s necessary. \n\n[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”23453″ img_size=”medium” css=””][vc_column_text css=””]About Fine Wine O’Clock \nWe are Irena and Pere.
